Logging in to the application for the first time

 
Explanation

When you login to the application for the first time, you authenticate yourself using an ID and an initial password.

If you log in via single sign-on, you can skip steps 1-4 and go to step 5 of this section.

Prerequisite

You know the URL of the application.

You know your user ID and the start password for your user ID.

Procedure

1.

Enter the URL for the application in the address bar of the browser.

The login page opens.

2.

Enter your user ID and confirm it with Continue.

3.

Enter the start password that you were given together with the user ID for your first login.

4.

Click on Next.

The application checks the start password.

 

Should another user, or you yourself, be already logged in with this user ID, then an appropriate message is displayed and you must specify whether this user is to be logged out.

 

If the check on the start password is successful, the initialisation page of the application opens.

Use the buttons to select the next action:

This button is only displayed if your user ID is authorised for one login type only:

You start the wizard for initialising your security medium (see section Initialising your smartcard security medium).

Open wizard

This button is only displayed if your user ID is authorised for the login type with both a security medium and a password:

You start the wizard for initialising your security medium (see section Initialising the security medium).

Go to password change

This button is only displayed if your user ID is only authorised for the login type with a password:

You switch to the mask for changing the password.

Logout

You exit the application without having set up your login type.

You can login again with the start password.
